Photographed during autumn in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, this series captures the fleeting transformation of fall foliage. The window for photographing peak color is brief—a race against time before leaves drift to earth. Rather than traditional compositions, I turned my lens toward the water, using reflections and wind-driven movement to blur the landscape into abstraction. Each image is singular: a convergence of natural color, wind patterns, sky, and water ripples that together create painterly, ephemeral works. These photographs exist at the intersection of documentary and impressionism, where nature’s palette meets motion and light.

As fall surrenders to winter, I captured the remarkable color shift—leaves releasing their brilliance moment by moment while stark branches hold steadfast above. Below, the earth gathers this shed glory as insulation, quietly awaiting spring’s inevitable rebirth and the cycle’s renewal.
This series explores the interplay of light and shadow across the desolate sand dunes of Ocotillo Wells, straddling the Mexico-California border. Here, photography becomes a study in impermanence: shifting winds reshape the landscape grain by grain, while changing light redraws the shadows moment by moment. Each image captures a fleeting composition that will never exist again. Footprints mark your passage across the dunes, tracing human presence in this vast emptiness, only to be erased by nightfall—the canvas reset, awaiting tomorrow’s light.
Antelope Canyon is a sacred place on Navajo land—a 200-meter slot canyon carved by water and time. At certain moments throughout the year, beams of light pierce the narrow opening above, illuminating the canyon for just minutes. During quieter hours, purple hues emerge in the shadows, while midday sun floods the space with warm orange tones. Walking through this natural cathedral, soft sand beneath your feet, I point my camera up to witness waves of color flowing across the sculpted sandstone walls. The energy here is palpable—a place where geology and light create something transcendent.
This series celebrates the soul-nourishing beauty of coastal life—those fleeting moments we often overlook in our daily journeys along water and shore. Each image invites you to pause and reconnect with the coast’s sensory gifts: wind threading through your hair, salt mist on your skin, the hypnotic rhythm of waves, and seabirds wheeling overhead in pure freedom. Through my lens, I honor the everyday magic of the shoreline—where light, water, and sky conspire to transform the ordinary into something transcendent, reminding us to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be present.
