My journey through the Yucatan, in Mexico.
Photographed during Autumn in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, New York. This is a series that explores the changing of the leaves while traveling on foot around one of the most iconic parks in Brooklyn. With just a sliver of time to capture nature’s beauty as the leaves change, it is a race to capture the burst of color before the leaves fall slowly to the earth. This is why I chose a unique angle and pointed my camera toward the water, allowing the reflections and movement of the wind to blur the landscape. Each photograph is unique with the natural colors of the leaves mixed with the wind, sky, and ripples of the water which shaped each of these abstract images.
This is an exploration of the color and changing leaves looking towards the canopy, capturing the remarkable color shift as Fall begins and Winter sets in. The stark branches holding true, shedding their glory each and every minute until finally the earth is insulated below and awaits the rebirth of its new glory in spring.
This Series Explores shadows stretching across the desolate sand dunes of Ocotillo Wells on the Mexico-California Border. This is a delicate balance of light and shadows as each moment the light changes, and the sand shifts with the blowing winds slowing moving each grain of sand with an ever changing canvas. Each image is one of a kind. As time moves forward a whole new image appears. As you move across the dunes, each foot step leaves a trace of one’s adventures, only to be erased and brought back to a new canvas each day.
Antelope Canyon is a special place located on Navajo land which is a 200 meter long crevice in the rock due to erosion. At specific times of the year the light beams into the canyon for only a moment. At other times you can see the purple hues at low light, and warm orange hues at peak hours. This is a magical vortex, and can be felt as you walk through the winding crevice with the soft sand at your feet looking upwards towards the sky only to see waves of color caressing every turn.
This series focuses on costal life along the water and beaches. The art around us that we pass by in our day to day travels, the wind we feel blowing through our hair, the mist of the ocean breeze, and the sounds of the wind, the water lapping the shores, and the birds flying high above free from the earth below.
The art of finding the right shot begins with telling the story through the camera lens and figuring out the flow for each property. Booking the shoot for the proper time of day is key allowing the light to fill the space. Details shots are also key, while capturing the strategically placed objects in the frame, bringing props in and other staging items in frame to give each photo to a specific feeling and for social media posts to sell the property. Part two is post production; Combining the HDR frames to show all the amazing details inside and out, the view with fall leaves, blue sky, and city vibes. Decluttering an image is a key aspect in post production; moving or removing furniture, removing or adding art on the walls, adding kitchen props called virtual staging plug ins, which is a high value add. In turn, creating the idea of a well organized, bright and sun filled comfortable home is the end result.
